Dr. Helen K. Foster serves as superintendent of Coalinga-Huron Unified School District in Coalinga, California. Her experience as an educational professional extends back to her time as a high school teacher in San Lorenzo Unified School District in San Lorenzo, California, where she taught physics, chemistry, and physical science while also bringing a renewed focus on arts to the district. Dr. Helen K. Foster went on to become a vice principal, principal, and administrator in various California school districts. Throughout her career, she has focused on positive change and bringing together parents and teachers through technological innovations as well as a renewed commitment to academic and extracurricular involvement.
An active member of her profession, Dr. Foster belongs to a number of professional organizations, including the Association of California School Administrators, the National Association of Secondary School Principals, and the Association for Supervision and Curriculum Development. She holds a doctorate of education in educational administration from St. Mary’s College of California.
